This film is inspired by the murals depicting heaven and hell in Taiwanese temples.
This film introduces a Taiwanese funeral to the audience from a POV angle. Besides
enjoying the ultimate luxurious afterlife service from an extreme close-up, the
audience also gets a glimpse of heaven, hell, and reincarnation in Taiwanese traditional religions. By going beyond the common
grotesque concept of death, we hope you’ll find your peace of mind after the journey.
The project was commissioned by Engine Studios and Golden Horse Award-winning
director Yang Ya Zhe.
The purpose is to exhibit it at the VR FILM LAB of the Kaohsiung Film Festival. I was responsible for the volcano scenes, particle effects, and shader.
