PeeWater

2021
Devices
PeeWater is a concept device that enables the transformation of urine into reusable water resources through a straightforward process. By fermenting urine for 2-5 days and subsequently diluting it with water, it can be effectively utilized as a fertilizer.

Role in the project: Software programmer, Planner

Challenges in African Agriculture: Limited Resources and in arid regions, people have to search for water sources for irrigation. The production relies primarily on manual labor and low technology.

Urine can be reclaimed for irrigation purposes through a process of fermentation and dilution. This recycled urine not only does not harm plants, but also serves as a beneficial fertilizer.

PeeWater Enables the transformation of urine into reusable water resources through a straightforward process.

Peewater will be positioned along riverbanks, allowing people to discharge their urine into the Peewater as they collect water.

PeeWater is equipped with simple modules, such as water quality testing and water level detection.

When the urine reaches a certain level, the water level detection module will be triggered. A red light will illuminate to indicate that no more urine should be added. Additionally, a countdown timer for the fermentation process will be displayed on the screen.

Upon the completion of the fermentation process, a reminder will be sent to the farmers. They can then visit the collection area to dilute the urine and retrieve the Peewater unit.
