Forklift License VR Training

Training professional operators of forklifts in VR. This training is in cooperation with Taiwan's professional forklift training team - "The Industrial Safety And Health Association of The R.O.C.(Taiwan)". The training is divided into three stages. This is the second stage of the training, the S-curve. Participants must drive the forklift forward following the S-curve route and then reverse the forklift back to the starting point after reaching the endpoint within a Virtual Reality environment. All of the forklift simulator devices are mounted on a wooden board that can be quickly installed on any desktop. The system, developed using Unity and C#, integrates the HTC Vive Pro VR, Arduino, and Logitech steering wheel into training scenarios, enabling trainees to engage in virtual forklift training. Arduino was primarily utilized to connect the forklift simulation devices aside from the steering wheel, such as the hand brake, forklift gear lever and forks controls. I scripted the programs within the Arduino, using the Arduino IDE, to ensure smooth transmission of signals to Unity.
